This week I put the finishing touches on my final project. I can't wait to learn more about CSS and web page design in the future.

Web Page Design, Week Eight

This week, we started working on a new project! I was glad for this opportunity because it gave me a chance to research a place I've wanted to go for a while: the Ghibli Museum! Now I know a lot more about it, so I'm glad we got this assignment.
I'm also excited to learn more about using Dreamweaver and other trhings in this class. I can't believe the first term is almost over!

Web Page Design, Week Seven

So this week, I didn't do very much. I finished my big product advertisement and had a lot of free time to get my other homework done. As time goes by, HTML gets a lot easier.

Web Page Design, Week Six

This week, we did more with tables. One of our assignments is to advertise/sell a specific product. I chose watercolor paints because I couldn't think of anything else.
HTML isn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be, it's actually kind of fun!

Web Page Design, Week Five

I can hardly believe that I have made it all the way through five weeks of school! This week, I learned how to make tables. Suddenly, all of the HTML in documents I've ever played with makes a LOT more sense. Tables are great things--helpful things. Now I can make my pages look more classy.

Web Page Design, Week Four

I have learned a lot already! I learned more about font attributes and now I knwo what they are for! I also reviewed the italic and bold tags, which I pretty much already understood.
I did learn what URL stands for: Uniform Resource Locator, whcih makes loads of sense.

Web Page Design, Week Three

However strongly I dislike attending school, I have found myself adapting to the lifestyle change it brings. This week, I learned a lot of attributes that I already knew, however, I learned how to correctly use them. Useful, no?

My favorite hexchart, complete with color converter for your designing convenience!

Web Page Design, Week Two

So, another week of school has passed, without any remarkable occurances. This week in Web Page Design, we learned how to make an extremely simple web page. Most of the tags I had already known but I did learn, however, what HTML stands for: HyperText Markup Language. I have always wondered. I also learned where to place the tags in an HTML document.
Well, I'm looking forward to getting even more web knowledge in the many, many weeks to come.
Signing off for now,
Mia

Web Page Design, Week One

Wow, my first-ever blog entry. Such a momentous occasion should inspire some sort of celebration!
This week, putting aside the fact that it was the first of yet another school year, was quite interesting. The only information new to me was the fact that the word internet is not synonymous to the world wide web. However, it is the hardware by which we use said web. Though we haven't done a whole lot in class yet, I can tell that it will be rewarding and worth my time. I'm especially excited to learn HTML. It is something I've always tampered with, but never formally learned.
That's all for now!
